Version 1.0.10: Share, Print and Visual Polish

PatioPlanner v1.0.10 adds a one-click share button with branded watermark, a print-ready layout with shopping list, and pixel-perfect stone rendering.

You have built the perfect paving layout. Now what? Until now it stayed locked in your browser tab. Version 1.0.10 gives you two ways to get it out.

Share your plan: one click, one image

The new “Share” button in the canvas toolbar exports your layout as a high-resolution PNG (2× for sharp rendering on retina screens and social media feeds). A subtle branded watermark, your locale’s version of “Planned with patioplanner.app”, sits in the bottom corner. Visible enough that people know where to find the tool. Subtle enough that it does not ruin the image.

On mobile devices the native share sheet opens: WhatsApp, email, Facebook, whatever you have installed. On desktop the file downloads directly.

Post your layout in a gardening group, send it to your landscaper, or attach it to a forum question. The watermark does quiet marketing every time someone sees it.

The “Print” button opens your browser’s print dialog with a purpose-built print stylesheet:

  • Page 1: The paving layout as a clean, full-width diagram
  • Page 2: The complete shopping list with stone counts and sub-base material quantities

A branded header (“PatioPlanner – Verlegeplan”) and footer with the website URL frame the printout. Professional enough to hand to a contractor or bring to the hardware store.

Background colours, shadows and rounded corners are stripped. What remains: clean lines, readable tables, no wasted ink.

Precise stone rendering

A subtle but important visual fix: the stone border used to bleed outside the polygon boundary. A 200×200 mm stone was rendered as 201×201 mm visually because SVG strokes are centered, half inside, half outside.

Now each stone polygon is additionally inset by half the stroke width. Joints look exactly as wide as you set them. No more optical illusion.

Projects now save completely

Joint width and stone colour are now persisted with your project. When you reopen a saved project it looks exactly like it did when you saved. No more missing settings.

Installable as an app

PatioPlanner is now a Progressive Web App. Add it to your home screen and use the planner offline. Your projects stay local on your device.
