Hey, I am Christoph. I am a Cloud Systems Engineer. When I am not deploying AWS infrastructure or doing heavy DIY work around the house, I build small tools. I like tools that solve exactly one problem and just work.

Why This Exists

I paved a patio myself. 40 square meters, concrete pavers in a running bond pattern. The most annoying part was not the laying. It was the math beforehand. How many stones do I need? How much waste should I account for? What does the pattern look like at the edges?

So I built a planner. Draw the area, pick the stone format, choose the laying pattern, done. Quantities appear immediately. No signup. No payment. No upload.

What It Does

Area planning: Draw areas with exact dimensions, from simple rectangles to L-shapes, several on one drawing.
Pattern selection: Compare laying patterns directly on your area.
Quantity calculation: Stone counts per format with a waste allowance, plus base, bedding and curbstones.
Export: Print or save as PDF, PNG or share link.

Technology

Built with Astro, React, Konva and Tailwind CSS. All calculations run locally in the browser. No server processing. Projects are saved in Local Storage.
