How the patio planner works

PatioPlanner calculates paved surfaces right in your browser. You do not need an account, and saved projects stay on your device.

  1. Create the surface as a rectangle with your dimensions or trace the outline as a polygon. Several surfaces fit on one drawing, each with its own pattern.
  2. Choose the brick type and laying pattern, from running bond to Opus Romano. Rotation, joint width, stone colour and start corner are set per surface.
  3. The optimizer tries different joint widths and surface sizes and shows which option needs the fewest cuts.
  4. The shopping list covers full stones, cut stones, crushed stone, grit, curbstones, joint filler and the excavation depth. Print it or save it as a PDF.
